Breast Cancer
Breast Cancer is the disease which forms in tissues of the breast, especially in the ducts which produces milk or lobules which supply milk. It is most common disease in women, rare in men. In the US, it finds one in every eight women. Breast cancer is the most common case for death in women aged 45-50.
Breast cancer is mainly categorized into 2 types:-
1. Ductal Carcinoma: It is the most common cancer in women, 85-90% of women affected to this cancer. In this cancer the ductal cancer cells grow only inside of the ducts.
2. Lobular Carcinoma: It is the rare case cancer, only 8% of women affected to this cancer. In this cancer cells grow in the lobules glands which supply the milk.
Causes:- There are no particular causes for breast cancer. Here are the few causes which associated with breast cancer.
1. The most and important cause for breast cancer is Age. The person who gets older, the chances to getting the breast cancer is more.
2. There are more chances to get the disease if any one of your family member surviving with breast cancer.
3. Early start of the periods and early menopause are also caused to breast cancer.
4. Hormone substitute therapy is also one of the causes for breast cancer.
Symptoms:-
1. A thickening in the underarm area or close to the breast.
2. You can find the change of size and shape of the breast.
3. Milk leaking from the nipple.
4. Nipple turned back into the breast.
5. You can observe the change of color of the nipple.
Diagnosis:-
Women with breast cancer have many treatment options. The treatment that's best for one woman may not be best for another.
There are several treatments for breast cancer in women.
1. Mammogram: Mammogram is the first method to identify the breast cancer. It is an X- ray of breast to see whether there is any abnormal growth lumps in breast area.
2. Ultra-Sonography: It is the second method; we can identify whether the lump is filled with liquid or fluid with the use of high frequency sound waves.
3. Aspiration: In this method, a needle is inserted into the lump and takes out the liquid from the lump area.
4. Surgical Biopsy: A small part of the lump is removed from the breast and tested for the further diagnosis.
Prevention:-
Instead of getting breast cancer it is better to follow early preventions:
1. Change your lifestyle and eating habits.
2. Avoid the cancer causing things.
3. Test your breast every month and check if there is any new lump, any thickening of tissue, any discharge from the nipples, change of shape of the breast and nipples.
4. Take the preventive medicines to avoid the chance of getting breast cancer.
