Plastic surgery means a variety of operations executed in order to restore body parts to look normal particularly by the change of tissue. Plastic surgery was developed by Harold Delf Gillies in the year of 1918. It involves number of various procedures that is related to skin. Removing the extra fat from body and reshaping the damaged parts in the body are the common aspects of plastic surgery.
There are 2 types of plastic surgery.
1. Cosmetic surgery
2. Reconstructive surgery
1. Cosmetic Surgery:- In general cosmetic surgery is made on the face to adjust the disfigurement or to increase the patient's features. The very used cosmetic surgery for kids is adjustment of a lip or roof of the mouth. In adults, it can be done on nose, removal of loose fitting skin around the eyelids, adjusting the size of the breasts.
2. Reconstructive Surgery:- Reconstructive procedures adjust the faults on the face or body. It includes physical birth defects like lips or roof of the mouth, ears and burn and accident victims, dog bites, replace missing limbs or teeth, or arthritic hip and knee joints.
