PREGNANCY GUIDE

Pregnancy is a stage which the woman carries the fertilized egg in her body. Generally the pregnancy period is 40 weeks starts from the first day of the women last day of the cat menial period.

Month One:-
Baby: The first 8 weeks of the pregnancy period is called "embryo". At the end of the first month the embryo is about 1/2 inch long. Baby legs and arms start growing, heart and lungs are beginning to form. The heart will start functioning by 25th day of the pregnancy. Mother: When you become pregnant you miss your period because your body is forming hormones to grow a baby, you may find tender breasts, increase in vaginal discharge, and you will urinate more than regular times. Avoid smoking and alcohol and urge your partner to do the same. Start taking the food which involves B vitamin folic acid.

Month Two:-
Baby: All body organs and system are shaped, the heart starts pump and the nervous system begins to originate. The facial features starts to form and the legs, arms and all major parts commences to appear. In this stage the unborn baby called as fetus. Mother: You may feel pregnant at the end of the second month and you may feel sickness in mornings, your nipples and the around area starts to become dark. You need to take more rest than usual.

Month Three:-
Baby: In third month, all body parts will grow and fetus will increase weight. The fetus will be increased to 4 inches long and weights up to 1 ounce (31.1 grams). Fingers and toes have soft nails. With the help of the "Doptone" technology you can hear your baby's heart beat. Mother: You may feel so tired than second month, you may get headaches, and you may find changes in your body particularly in your waist and breasts, use tops and skirts with elastic waist.

Month Four:-
Baby: At the end of 4th month, fetus is increased to 6 to 7 inches long and is fully formed, and it weighs about 5 ounces (155.5 grams). The baby moves, kicks, swallows, and baby can hear your voice. The baby is covered with fine hair and skin is pink and transparent. Mother: From the beginning of the 4th month you never feel sickness in morning times. At the end of the 4th month you may feel your baby movements for the first time. Take nutrition food; you need to use looser cloths. Make sure that your maternity bra is properly fitted and provides enough support. You can find the changes on your body especially in arms, face, breasts and nipples may darken.

Month Five:-
Baby: At the end of the 5th month, the baby becomes more active, it sleeps and awake at equal time intervals. Baby grows up to 8-12 inches long and weighs upto1/2 to 1 pound (500 grams to 1000 grams). In this stage you can hear your baby's heart beat using stethoscope. Mother: You need to sleep 8 hours in each night and take rest in day time. You may get swellings on feet, particularly in night times. Stretch marks may appear on the stomach and breasts. Your breast may start producing foremilk. Vaginal discharge also increases.

Month Six:-
Baby: By end of the Sixth month, the length of the baby is 11to14 inches long and 1to 1and half ponuds in weight. Baby starts to open his eyes and you can find finger and toe prints. The baby will grow fast on this month. Mother: You will find the strong kicks of the baby in this month. Your lungs and heart is works 50% harder than usual. You may get back pain. Use low heals shoes, try to do easy exercises like walking to avoid back pains, and do not stand for a long time.

Month Seven:-
Baby: During the seventh month your baby weighs about 2 pounds and length is 14-15 inches long. Your baby responds to sound and light. Baby has many chances for survival in this month. Mother: Stretch marks appear on your stomach or thighs, breasts and it may get larger. You may get swelling on your feet from standing, if the swelling lasts for more than 24 hours, it is better to contact your doctor. Need to take more rest.

Month Eight:-
Baby: By end of the eighth month, the length of the baby is 16 inches long and 3.5 pounds in weight. In this month baby is too large to move around and it can kick powerfully and roll around. The baby will turn his head down in preparation of birth. Mother: You may find the discharge of milk from breasts. You may have trouble in sleeping because body conditions. Take 4-5 small meals during the day time.

Month Nine:-
Baby: Mostly the healthy babies will weigh up to 2.7 to 4 kg and length up to 20 inches. Now the baby is fully formed and ready born. In ninth month the baby will grows up to ½ pound in a week. Mother: This is the last month in pregnancy. Swelling of your feet may increases. You may feel very uncomfortable because of the weight and pressure of the baby. By end of the ninth month you may feel very heavy and tired
